Udviklingsboard til digital signage og gaming applikationer
Silica udvider ArchiTech board familien med Tibidabo, der er et udviklings- og referenceboard bygget op omkring Freescale i.MX 6Quad applikationsprocessoren (in english).
Silica is expanding its ArchiTech family of development and reference boards with the introduction of a high-end system based on the Freescale Semiconductor i.MX 6Quad applications processor. The Tibidabo development platform comes with SDK, Linux Images and a Board Support Package (BSP) based on Yocto to reduce development time.As well as its quad ARM CortexTM-A9 CPU clocked at 800 MHz, the Tibidabo board carries a host of features to satisfy developers targeting high-end embedded applications such as digital signage, automotive infotainment and gaming. Its payload includes 2GB DDR3 RAM, dual LVDS interfaces to directly drive large HD display panels, and a standard HDMI interface.
There are USB host and USB on-the-go interfaces, together with an mSATA interface for solid-state drives from suppliers such as Micron. Also on-board are twin Gigabit Ethernet ports, expansion ports for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, plus SD card and Mini PCIe connectors for generic expansion. Automotive systems are enabled through its ability to drive cluster, HUD, rear-seat infotainment, front and rear POD audio/visual systems.
Tibidabo is part of SILICA’s ArchiTech Software Support strategy, which provides developers with a single software platform, Yocto based, alongside comprehensive training and FAE support. The Yocto Project provides templates, tools and methods to help create custom Linux-based systems for embedded products regardless of the hardware architecture. The initiative benefits from SILICA’s long-term relationships with leading silicon vendors and all boards and tools being developed have the suppliers’ full cooperation and support.
In addition to the normal sales order channel through the SILICA sales teams, all tools under the ArchiTech umbrella are available for sale through the Avnet Express channel, enabling credit card transactions for customers of all sizes.
