Single board platform til udvikling af Android applikationer
Farnell element14 annoncerer under navnet RIoT (Revolutionising the Internet of Things) single board computerplatform til Android (in english).
Farnell element14 is exclusively launching an open source, single board platform, the so- called 'Revolutionizing the Internet of Things (RIoT)' board. The RIoTboard has been designed to run Android operating systems efficiently and features a high processing performance/low-power consumption processor with a broad range of peripherals and display capabilities, making it perfectly suited as a hub for the Internet of Things (IoT).The board is ideal for Android and Linux development and is based on the Freescale i.MX 6Solo processor; using the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture. Priced at £46 the RIoTboard is available from Farnell element14 in Europe.
David Shen, Chief Technology Officer at Premier Farnell explains:
- The RIoTboard has been designed for and supported by a community of Design Engineers and Application Developers. The hardware design has an optimised form factor, utilises one of the latest high performance multimedia processors and has been optimised for low power consumption. Addressing these key design challenges upfront will reduce development time and time to market. The RIoTboard is the latest in our ever-expanding range of solutions offering everything from starter kits to complete development boards, including the newest releases and exclusive bundles.
The BOM-optimised platform includes:
• The Freescale i.MX 6Solo processor based on ARM Cortex-A9 Core architecture at speeds up to 1 GHz
• The Freescale Kinetis K20 MCU
• The Freescale MMPF0100Power Management Integrated Chip
• 1GByte of 32-bit wide DDR3 @ 800MHz
• 4GB eMMC
The RIoTboard platform also includes a rich set of peripherals including a 10M/100M/Gb Ethernet port, 1 USB 2.0 OTG High Speed and 4 USB 2.0 High Speed 2.0 Hosts, LVDS, HDMI and Parallel RGB interfaces, micro TF and SD card interfaces, analog headphone/microphone jacks, camera interface, serial ports, JTAG and boot configuration interfaces.
Key applications for the board will include:
• Vertical/Industrial/Educational Tablets
• Smart Home Appliances
• Medical – Patient Monitoring and telehealth
