Ny ARM-baseret box-computer

Artila Electronics lancerer ARM9-baseret box-computer med Linux-support og 8-port isoleret RS-485 interface (in english).

Artila Electronics recently released the Matrix-516, a new generation of ARM-based box computers. The Matrix-516 is a small form-factor industrial box computer, has a low power consumption, and a Linux-ready computing platform.

With a 400MHz Atmel AT91SAM9G20 CPU, 64MB SDRAM and 128MB NAND Flash in the Matrix-516, the system delivers a high performance. The box computer is equipped with multiple I/O interfaces. It is easy to develop pure C/C++programs or Web-based applications such as SQLite+ and PHP to run on top of the Matrix-516.

Matrix-516 can be used as a reliable unattended controller 24/7 non-stop embedded computer. The box computer Matrix-516 also provides a useful fail-safe design for system backup and recovery. Normally, the system boots up from its NAND Flash. However, the Data Flash in Matrix-516, includes a backup Linux file system as well, and will automatically boot up the system in case the primary NAND Flash fails. If the system boots up from the Data Flash, a menu-driven program will appear to help users restore NAND Flash images from a USB pen drive or an SD card.

Applications include intelligent transportation system (ITS), building automation, energy-saving systems and factory automation.
