Aaeon introducerer nu AEC-6924, der en embedded controller med Intel Core 2 Duo processor og PCI-Express expansion (in english). 

Aaeon presents the AEC-6924, an Advanced Fanless Embedded Controller with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and PCI-Express Expansion.

The AEC-6924 belongs to AAEON’s BOXER S series and it represents the higher processing and performance line. As demands for more powerful and fanless controllers arise, Aaeon has taken the challenge to meet these needs with the new AEC-6924 embedded controller.
 
The AEC-6924 supports the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and Intel®GS45 + ICH9M chipset. There is also two 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM and up to 4 GB system memory for this controller.  

For storage, there is one SATA 3.0 Gb/s HDD and one Type 2 CompactFlash slot to provide ample space.  This unit is equipped with one PCI-Express and one PCI slot that can satisfy flexible expansion demands as well. The AEC-6924 offers versatile I/O ports, such as two Gigabit Ethernet ports, one DVI-I, one DVI-D, four USB ports, four COM ports, and one Line-out connector. 
 
- The AEC-6924 targets specific Applications, such as Machine Control, Data Processing, Data Management and Fleet Management because of its high performance and flexible expansions, says Linux Wang, Product Manager of AAEON Panel Appliance & Automation Division. 

- This model is specially designed to meet the requirements of harsh applications and features wide DC power input. The usage of wide DC 9~48V power input creates the most stable system and offers a convenient solution for Transportation Applications, explaines Linux Wang.

A key feature of the AEC-6924 is its fanless design, as it reduces the cost and possible mechanical failures.  The fanless design prevents the system from being disrupted as it is functioning.  In addition, the storage temperature runs from -20oC ~ 70oC, making it easier to store in virtually any environment.
