AAEON has released a new 3.5" SubCompact Board: the GENE-LN05. This single board computer is a cost-effective solution using the new Intel Atom platform for any system that can be embedded into applications for Industrial Automation, Transportation, Defense & Government markets.
The GENE-LN05 adopts the Intel Atom N450/D510 Processor with Intel ICH8M chipset. For the system memory, the GENE-LN05 supports up to 2 GB of DDR2 533/667 memory in its one 200-pin SODIMM socket. For high-speed network transmissions, the GENE-LN05 equips two 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ-45 ports to offer high speed Ethernet communications.
Moreover, the GENE-LN05 deploys seven USB 2.0 ports, six COM ports, one Parallel port, and an 8-bit digital I/O interface. This rich variety of I/O makes the GENE-LN05 a great embedded solution to expand and connect with required devices.
- The GENE-LN05 features the some of the latest Intel technology to achieve high performance with low power consumption. Its small but feature-rich footprint allows this single board computer to meet the versatility demands of many embedded applications, says John Funk, Product Specialist of AAEON's Embedded Computing Division.
- This model has an onboard touch screen device that will support a 4/5/8-wire resistive touch screen and it supports simultaneous displays via the CRT and 18-bit single channel LVDS interfaces. The inclusion of two-channel HD Audio makes the GENE-LN05 perfect for multi-media applications such as supermarket, outdoor billboard, and Digital Signage. This model has expansion options in the form of two Mini-Card interfaces and an LPC bus to provide flexibility to fulfill diverse requirements, adds John Funk.
The GENE-LN05 supports ample storage and interfaces for operating systems through the two SATA2 channels and one Type 2 CompactFlash socket. In addition, this model equips optional onboard Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to provide high-level security capability for applications that demand locked down systems. The GENE-LN05 can support +5VDC or +12VDC input to fit various power supply solutions.
