Distrelec kan nu levere udviklingsplatforme fra Digilent

Distrelec sigter på at etablere et stærkt brohoved inden for forskning og undervisning gennem en distributionsaftale med Digilent (in english).

With the research and education sector firmly in sight Distrelechas rapidly expanded their assortment of development boards with leading electrical engineering manufacturer, Digilent Inc.

Providing students, universities and OEMs with technology-based design tools, Digilent is committed to ensuring every product is optimised for educational development. In addition to manufacturing their own products, and developing the accompanying learning resources, the company provides OEM design and manufacturing services for leading technology companies including Xilinx, Analog Devices and Cypress Semiconductor.

Steve Herd, Head of Customer Proposition and Product Development at Distrelec, explains:
- Sharing a common goal to make leading technologies understandable and accessible to all, Distrelec's expanded range with Digilent will open up a wider assortment of learning tools and resources to our network of educators, students and research experts.

Particularly notable products from the range expansion include:

Digilent Arty A7: Designed specifically for use as a MicroBlaze Soft Processing System, the Digilent Arty A7 provides Distrelec's network of programming engineers with more flexibility and a wider range of industry applications. The product is a ready-to-use development platform designed around the Artix-7 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) from Xilinx. When used in context, the product becomes an incredibly versatile processing platform, capable of adapting to whatever your project require.

Digilent Cora Z7: Proving to provide a wealth of benefits and versatility to electronic engineers, the Digilent Cora Z7 range now available at Distrelec is the ideal platform for all embedded applications.   Designed around the powerful Zynq-7000 All-Programmable System-on-Chip (APSoC) from Xilinx, the Zynq-7000 architecture tightly integrates a single or dual core 667MHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with a Xilinx 7-series FPGA. This pairing grants the ability to surround the processor with a unique set of software-defined peripherals and controllers, tailored for the target application.

Digilent PYNQ: Available from Distrelec as part of the productivity bundle along with a range of accessories and adaptions, the Digilent PYNQ offers software developers the opportunity to take advantage of the capabilities of programmable Zynq hardware without having to use ASIC-style design tools. The product is also relevant for system architects, as it provides a simple interface and framework for rapid prototyping and development of their Zynq designs.
