AAEON announces the latest addition to its highly popular 3.5” SubCompact product family, the GENE-QM87. Powered by the advanced low power consumption Intel 4th Generation Core i5-4402E processor and companion Intel QM87 chipset, the small form factor GENE-QM87 3.5-inch board brings dazzling features and enhanced functionality to system builders in market sectors such as banking, industrial automation, healthcare and digital signage.

The GENE-QM87 embedded board offers superb graphic performances via Intel InTru 3D Technology and Clear Video HD Technology, rich connectivity, 3 independent displays with Full HD support, remote management through iAMT 9.0 and Rapid Storage Technology.

The 4th Generation Intel Core iSeries processors bring vibrant visual experience with 3D graphics performance with support for OpenCL 1.2, OpenGL 4 and DirectX 11.1, and supports lower power DDR3L 1333/1600 system memory with a maximum capacity of 8GB.

Measuring at a mere 146mm x 101.6mm in size, it features a rich array of I/O interfaces and extensions, with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, one CRT, one DVI, one HDMI, two 18/24-bit dual-channel LVDS, 2-channel High Definition Audio, 2W audio amplifier, two SATA 6.0Gb/s (support of RAID 0,1), one CFast, two USB3.0, six USB2.0, four COM, a programmable 8-bit Digital I/O, one Mini Card slot, onboard 4/5/8-wire Resistive Touch Screen controller, and onboard TPM v1.2 support for security conscious applications.

Whenever Microsoft Windows platform is used, customers can easily create their own user interface without additional coding simply by downloading the AAEON Hi-Safe program. The GENE-QM87 supports all common operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows 8 and 7, Linux Fedora and legacy embedded operating systems.
