Vicor lancerer nye 6U VITA strømforsyninger, der bl.a. udmærker sig ved ikke at have nogen power de-rating over det fulde operative temperaturområde (in english).
VITA 62 is a standard for VPX-style backplanes relating to the power generation module for embedded computers and user payloads within a VPX Chassis. The standard specifies the power requirements for a VPX 3U/6U form factor defined in VITA 48.
Furthermore, VITA 62 standardizes the set of connectors that mate with a VITA 62-compatible backplane so that the module can be sourced from a variety of vendors, offering interchangeability and multi-sourcing. The VITA 62.1 and 62.2 subsets ('dot' versions) of VITA 62 are specifically focused on the unique requirements of 3-Phase/3U front-end modules and high-voltage, high-altitude 270VDC input applications, respectively.
The VPX Chassis, which utilizes VITA 62 modules, is used in high-performance, space-constrained applications for high-speed computing, signal/video processing and data acquisition for the defense and aerospace market.
Given the demanding nature of the end-use environment, these modules must be rugged and reliable while also conforming to numerous Military Standards for power and electromagnetic interference.
The Vicor family of VITA 62-compliant power modules are available with 270VDC and 28VDC nominal inputs and 3U and 6U form factors. They also fully meet the Military standards listed in their data sheets with specified power ratings that cover the full operating temperature ranges with no de-rating.
Vicor VITA 62 modules are designed using proven, individually tested and qualified Vicor ChiPs, which enable scalable and flexible power system design if customization of the standard products is needed.
