Atlantik Elektronik presents with the low power Linux Wi-Fi SoC QCA4531 from Qualcomm an intelligent connectivity solution for the Internet of Things (IoT). The QCA4531 is a two stream (2x2) IEEE 802.11b/g/n programmable Linux OS access point/router single-band system-on-a-chip (SoC).It is designed to serve as a cost efficient solution for IOT Hubs with full AP capability to enable an IoE Ecosystem or feature-rich IoE clients leveraging the Linux framework. The complete networking platform enables full featured Wi-Fi support with up to 190 Mbps WLAN TCP/IP throughputs. It is user programmable in the Linux/Open WRT environment and open source ATH9K drivers are available.
The AllJoyn connectivity framework and services allow devices to discover, connect and communicate directly with one another across multiple smart home ecosystems. Advanced power saving features like dynamic clocking and CPU off mode combined with optimized power save Wi-Fi functionality makes it a perfect fit for always on applications.
The QCA4531 is ideal for multi-protocol bridging and communication, bringing together multiple wireless mediums and bridging between different ecosystems. The QCA4531 comes pre-integrated with Allseen Alliance’s AllJoyn software framework, ensuring interoperability with the rapidly expanding AllJoyn ecosystem that is designed to enable smart devices to communicate locally and is capable of becoming an AllJoyn IoE hub.
