Seriel-til-WiFi modul til 'tingenes internet'

Seriel-til-WiFi modul til 'tingenes internet'

Inventek Systems lancerer Broadcom baseret seriel-til-WiFi modul til brug i en bred vifte af applikationer (in english).

Inventek Systems offers a family of serial-to-WiFi modules (eS-WiFi family) that support Broadcom Corporation's WICED platform. The option is available to use either Inventek's AT Command Set firmware or Broadcom's WICED APIs.

When using Inventek's AT Command Set, a low cost system microcomputer is used to send commands to the eS-WiFi module over a serial interface (UART, SPI or USB). When using Broadcom's WICED platform, the on-board microcomputer is used for both the WICED firmware and system program. In either case, the module hardware is identical.

One of the family members is the ISM43362, a WiFi module that operates in the 2.4 GHz spectrum.  The module's hardware consists of a 120MHz STM 32-bit Cortex M3 microcomputer, a Broadcom BCM43362 single chip wireless radio and an integrated antenna (or optional U.FL) all on a 14.5mm x 30mm module with 44 LGA footprint or USB dongle.

The module provides USB, SPI and UART interfaces enabling easy connection to an embedded design. The WiFi module requires no operating system and has a completely integrated TCP/IP Stack that only requires a simple AT command set to establish connectivity for your wireless product, minimizing development time and testing. The simple AT command set can be run on any 8/16/32 bit microcontroller. The low-cost, small foot-print design, and ease of design-in make it ideal for a wide range of embedded wireless applications.
