Quad-band GSM/GPRS modul i ultrakompakt pakning
Atlantik Elektronik kan nu levere Quectel´s M66 quad-band GSM/GPRS modul, der er integreret i en LCC pakning (in english).
Atlantik Elektronik can minimize the PCB real estate needs for GSM/GPRS functionality with Quectel’s latest M66 module. The module targets the European market and will be most widely used in applications such as track&trace, meter reading, or POS (Point-of-Sales).The new Quectel M66 with dimensions of 17.7 × 15.8 mm is not only the world’s smallest GSM/GPRS module in an LCC package. It also shines with minimum weight which comes always handy when shock and vibration resistance is required.
In addition the wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C makes it suitable for industrial requirements. Support of GPRS class 12 allows an uplink speed of up to 85.6 kbit/s – more than enough for the typical M2M applications. The current draw in sleep mode goes down to an unparalleled 1.3 mA@DRx=5 which is ideal for battery driven devices.
Three UART interfaces make it easy to control and transmit in parallel and a variety of Internet protocols fulfill the requirements of many M2M applications: TCP/IP, UDP, FTP and PPP are already implemented on the module. On top of that one can use Quectel’s advanced functionalities such as QuecFOTA (over the air update) or QuecLocator (positioning based on cell location). The applications range from mobile vehicle tracking systems or people, pet, and goods surveillance to electric, gas or water meters to typical vending machines or payment terminal.
Atlantik Elektronik supports customers in integrating the new M66 with evaluation kits and a multitude of support tools and documents. Together with GNSS modules, antennas, or microcontrollers, Atlantik Elektronik offers a portfolio that covers all building blocks of typical M2M implementations.
