Atlantik Elektronik introduces with the EG91 from Quectel another LTE mobile module of Cat 1 category, which is suitable for M2M and IoT applications due to its industrial temperature range of -40°C to + 85°.It delivers 10 Mbit/s downlink and 50Mbit/s uplink data rates. An additional advantage is its low cost in comparison to typical modules of the LTE-Cat.4.
The innovative EG91 module is with its dimensions of 29,0mm x 32,0mmx 2,5mm in a robust LCC housing one of the world's smallest M2M Cat.1 LTE modules on the market. Furthermore, it is form factor compatible with Quectel’s UMTS / HSPA+ UG95 and even to the compact unified form factor of the GSM/GPRS module M95, to ensure a seamless migration path to 2G and 3G technology.
The EG91 supports MIMO technology, a cutting edge antenna technology transmitting multiple data streams on multiple transmitters to multiple receivers.
A rich set of internet protocols, UART- and USB-host interfaces as well as various standard-interfaces extend the applicability of the hardware functionality of EG91.
