The GNS603 from GNS is a small autonomous GPS receiver, based upon the MT3339 single chip, available with a finely tuned, high-sensitivity patch ceramic antenna. The GNS603 provides an extra embedded functionality for connection of an external active GPS antenna.An automatic antenna switching function and a short circuit protection features a software antenna status message called 'Antenna Advisor'. The 'Antenna Advisor' helps to indicate the different states, including active antenna connection, antenna open circuit detection and antenna shortage.
The GNS603 offers the industry's highest level of navigation sensitivity up to -165dBm, has superior dynamic performance at high velocity and provides effective protection against interference signals. The navigation performance and accuracy is further improved by using correction data from SBAS or DGPS.
Applications include in-vehicle navigation equipment, personal navigation devices, geofencing, netbooks, tablet PCs and mobile phones.
