Atlantik Elektronik præsenterer på den kommende embedded world udstiling i Nürnberg nyt dual-band WLAN og Bluetooth SDIO modul fra Silex (in english).
Atlantik Elektronik presents at the embedded world trade fair in Nuremberg the low-power Wi-Fi module SX-SDMAC from Silex for the Internet of Things (IoT).Its industrial temperature support, robust enterprise security and 802.11ac capabilities make it an ideal solution for applications like factory automation with demanding environmental conditions such as with extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, moisture, shock, and vibrations. Its low power consumption also makes it suitable for portable handheld devices.

The Silex SX-SDMAC is a dual-band IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN plus Bluetooth 4.1 BR/EDR/LE Smart Ready SDIO module based on the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 System-on-Chip (SoC).
SX-SDMAC operates on a single regulated 3.3V power supply and it comes in surface mount (SMT) and board to board connector (B2B) form factors. The SX-SDMAC has a 50 ohm U.FL connector as a connection interface for an external antenna. There is also an option to use an onboard printed antenna for the surface mount (SMT) version.
SX-SDMAC supports 802.11ac multi-user MIMO (Wave 2) feature which can increase the overall WLAN system performance.
