Touch-controllere til krævende industrielle brugerinterfaces

I forbindelse med den kommende Electronica-udstilling vil Zytronic demonstrere nye touch-controllere, der specielt sigter mod brug i industriel udstyr med hårde miljømæssige påvirkninger (in english).

Zytronic, a leading manufacturer of durable, customised Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT and MPCT) touch sensors will demonstrate its new range of multi-touch controllers at electronica this year (Hall B4 Booth 210), raising the bar for the design, speed, accuracy and performance of interactive touch screens used in hazardous and industrial environments.

The ZXY500 range from Zytronic has been purpose designed to operate at an industry leading Tx drive voltage of up to 40V. This improves sensitivity to enable full multi-touch detection in HMI applications located in extremely challenging environments where the screens can be behind thick cover glass, the surface is contaminated, or if the user is wearing gloves or applying only a light touch.

Based around a unique and proprietary ASIC, the new ZXY500 controllers feature a higher noise immunity, allowing technologies such as RFID, NFC and Qi-type wireless battery charging to be implemented adjacent to, or even within, the active area without impairing the normal performance of the touch screen. These technologies emit signals which can interfere with the operation of conventional projected capacitive touch screens. The excellent noise immunity also allows the air gap between the display and the sensor to be decreased, reducing optical parallax and improving the appearance of the display.

- Zytronic is setting a new standard for touch performance at electronica 2018, enhancing the capabilities of interactive touch screens. The new controllers enable a host of exciting features, allowing designers to create interfaces that are more beneficial and capable than ever before, whatever the environment, says Ian Crosby, sales and marketing director.

In response to the growing demand for narrow borders, the new controllers also allow substantially reduced non-active borders. For example, a 55” screen can be designed with a sub 10mm border. This is less than half of the current industry norm and useful for applications where space is limited. Enhanced object recognition and other new features of the controller will also be demonstrated at electronica.
